The Resonance of Seclusion – Touring in 2013

Today has been a good day as, this morning, a big fat envelope dropped through the letterbox onto the mat telling us that our application to Arts Council England through Grants for the Arts had been successful. This means we will be touring The Resonance of Seclusion to five new venues in early 2013.

For those of you who aren’t aware of this piece it was originally performed on 4th, 5th and 6th October 2011 at the Whitworth Art Gallery, Manchester. It is a unique piece of performance telling the true story of Joash Woodrow, an artist from Leeds who lived as a recluse for more than 40 years. His is an extraordinary story of an individual’s unstoppable drive to create art and the equally unstoppable support of his family that made his artistic life a reality.

You can find out more about our production here. And if you’re interested in Joash’s work as an artist there’s more information here. Full details of venues and dates will be listed as soon as they are confirmed.
