Staring in June 2017 we will beginning a six month residency in Hull as part of City of Culture 2017. We will be working in four locations in the city delivering specially designed Storybox workshops inspired by different elements of the City of Culture Programme. From cutting edge performance, to the best of contemporary visual art, we will be working with local organisations to use our unique, imaginative approach to bring people living with a dementia, and the people who support them, right to the heart of City of Culture 2017. Interested in joining one of these residencies? Find out more about sessions with Creative Cafe Butterflies Hull or with Endike Community Care which are open to all.
Alongside these monthly workshops we will be delivering four training sessions, where local careworkers and family carers will be able to learn a range of different activities and techniques to engage the people they support in City of Culture. The first of these will take place on the 11th July and will offer a practical, creative way for people to learn new creative activities inspired by The Flood – the story of what happens when the world is destroyed, and how those who survive try to make it new again, created by Slung Low.
