The Roe Green Buddy Club / Age UK Salford / EST. 1761 / Salford Council
July to September 2015
During July, August and September 2015 we delivered creative sessions at The Roe Green Buddy Club in Salford.
Taking inspiration from the Salford stretch of the world famous Bridgewater Canal, these sessions were sensory, active and fun. Each session has took a different theme which linked together activities including arts and crafts, music and drama. This provided a starting point for telling our personal stories, creating original artwork and writing poetry ; a selection of which was included in
this book – Tales of the Waterways
There were many special moments over the course of the project and the book we created is a document of the laughter, generosity and sense of fun that developed during the project. It is a collection of individual voices, ideas and artworks that have been shared and listened to. We hope you enjoy looking
at it all as much as we have enjoyed putting it all together.
We’d like to say a big thank you to all the participants and staff joined in the sessions and made this project possible.
