Free Patterns in Nature Zine

Earlier in the year we were lucky enough to be invited to join the Creative People and Places gathering in Barrow-in-Furness to talk about our work. Creative People and Places is a programme of work by Arts Council England which focuses on parts of the country where involvement in creativity and culture is significantly below the national average. It funds partners in local areas to empower residents to decide what kind of creative activity they want to experience on their doorstep.

It was such a rich and inspiring experience to be in that space together with members of that community.

As is often the case for us we have been reflecting upon this experience in the form of a mini zine, which captures many of the ideas that were shared during the workshop we delivered in Barrow about patterns in nature.

We wanted to share this zine more widely as a reciprocal gesture of thanks for the way that experience and wisdom was shared collectively with such generosity in that time together. We hope if you read it that it may spark something for you that helps you find a new frame, focus, inspiration…or anything that you need at this moment in time.

You can find out how to fold your zine via this tutorial created by our friends at 42nd Street. Once you have printed the zine you may want to trim to the printed edge before you fold.
